Throughout the year, NVBA offers classes, workshops, events, counts and surveys to both its members and to the general public in an effort to spread awareness and understanding of the birds and habitats of our region. Here is a list of our upcoming events. Check back often, as we are always adding new offerings to our calendar.

Online Class and Event Policies:
Registration closes two hours before an event starts. Please register early!
Cancellation and refund policy: please let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to attend an event and we'll gladly issue a refund. Many of our programs are recorded and posted on Vimeo. If you're not able to attend the live event, you can still watch them from the comfort of your home at your convenience.
Classes, Workshops and Events
We are preparing for Virginia’s legislative session by partnering with the Virginia Conservation Network, the largest conservation advocacy organization in Virginia, to host a General Assembly Preview Regional Watch Party.
Join NextGen as we take a trip to our National Zoo and visit the Bird House.
Join Northern Virginia Bird Alliance for a lunchtime comment writing session where together we will advocate for the Endangered Species Act!
Are you intrigued by observing wildlife in your own yard? Do you want to contribute to the environmental health of our planet? If so, come learn about the Wildlife Sanctuary program at this in-person event!
The Manassas-Bull Run Christmas Bird Count (CBC) will be on Sunday, December 17. Birders of all skill levels are needed!
