Andreas Seiter
Before joining the board, Andreas volunteered with ASNV as a bird-walk leader, where he worked to encourage participants to observe their environment as a springboard to motivating them to protect and improve the natural environment they have access to.
He is a German national, trained as a medical doctor in Germany. He worked in clinical medicine and the pharmaceutical industry and, since 2004, for the World Bank in Washington, DC as a specialist in pharmaceutical policy and private sector engagement in public health services. He has experience in marketing and corporate communications, and has worked in more than 40 countries, including some of the most fragile and economically stressed ones. He retired in July 2022 but continues to consult for the World Bank. His experience can serve NVBA in its educational programs, outreach and organization, recruiting, and fundraising.
He recently completed Fairfax Maser Naturalist training, which he reports opened his eyes to the importance of seeing the connections between the easily visible elements of nature with those that are invisible or easily overlooked, but necessary to a healthy ecosystem.
He lives with his wife and teenage twin daughters in the Kingstowne area.
